While Wellspring Retreats take place every month, in regions as diverse as California, the Southeast, Texas and the Northeast, there are two distinct ways Wellspring helps guests become successful long-term weight controllers (LTWCs) and return to a healthy weight:
Neither are fat farms or boot camps, and both are equally effective at achieving weight loss, and helping you permanently change your lifestyle so you will continue to lose weight after returning home. However, some guests will prefer the Travel & Spa format, while others will prefer the Vacation format.

Retreat Requirements and Gear
For all Retreats, guests must be capable of walking 1 mile in 30 minutes and cannot exceed 360 lbs. A physical is required for all guests, and registration forms will be screened by a Wellspring medical professional.
All gear required for the Retreat is provided by Wellspring, and is the same for Travel & Spa and Vacation Retreats. All you need to bring is athletic clothing and footwear, raingear, and a few nice outfits to wear in the evenings.
