Accommodations

Wellspring Retreats combine accommodation in world-class hotels, resorts and spas with comfortable camping.

Hotels, Resorts and Spas

The typical Wellspring Retreat starts at a hotel, such as the Crowne Plaza, returns to a resort on the fourth night for a break, and then concludes at a world-class resort and spa for the last evening and final day.

Here is where guests stay during the Wellspring Retreat in North Carolina

Asheville Crowne Plaza Resort
A full-service resort complete with an 18-hole golf course and a wealth of other recreational activities. Located on 125 rolling acres just minutes from downtown Asheville, the Crowne Plaza Resort has something for everyone.

Lakeview at Fontana Resort & Spa
Small-scale & casual, Lakeview at Fontana evokes a quaint Mediterranean-meets-Greenwich Village ambience; complete with charming courtyard, gourmet coffeehouse, yoga studio, and spa. Rooms and suites offer the perfect refuge for those who prefer their mountain breezes scented with the rich aroma of a café mocha. Or anyone whose idea of a fine afternoon is mountain biking or hiking followed by a hot stone massage. The surrounding 45 acres reveal an outdoor pool, a sauna, a scenic hiking trail, outdoor relaxation spaces, and, of course, spectacular views of Fontana Lake and the Great Smoky Mountains.

Grove Park Inn Resort & Spa
Named one of Fodor’s top 10 luxury resort and spas, the Grove Park Inn is one of America’s most beautiful and historic grand hotels.  Built in 1913 and listed on the National Register of Historic places, the Grove Park is a favorite year-round destination, providing panoramic views of Asheville’s skyline and the Blue Ridge Mountains, old-world charm, and a long tradition of luxury hospitality. The hotel and spa have been completely renovated in recent years and continue to win numerous awards.

Camping

Wellspring Retreats will change the way you think about camping.  No hauling tents and gear around.  Everything is set up and in place when you arrive at your campsite for the evening.  Depending on the location, we are either in cozy cabins or comfortable wall tents.  You won’t be sleeping on the ground – air mattresses, pillows and bedding are provided.  Everything is set up and ready so you can get a great night sleep in the clean mountain air, and prepare for another day of adventure and transformation.
