

Fitness Training That Works for Women
You'll experience an unparalleled level of activity at Wellspring Camp La Jolla. From walking, hiking, and backpacking to new adventure activities, Wellspring will get you moving - but always at a pace that's within your comfort zone and works for your fitness level. Unless we're at a meal, in our comfortable beds, or in a group or class, we're active while at Wellspring.
You'll also receive cross training and fitness weight training with your Wellspring personal trainer. Wellspring's personal trainers work with you individually and in small groups to help you develop fitness goals, gain confidence in using cardio or fitness training equipment, and learn several workout routines you'll continue after returning home. Our personal trainers are attuned to the physical limitations that excess weight can create, and will help you design the best workout for your body.
Whatever the fitness activity, we always track how active we are. That's why all guests and staff wear pedometers. We target a minimum of 10,000 steps per day, but most guests will get 15,000 steps per day or more.

At the same time, Wellspring professionals are extremely sensitive to the potential physical limitations of guests. Together, we will work to design activities and exercises that you will find fun and invigorating, and that you can continue at home.
Imagine walking the beautiful shoreline of La Jolla, hiking the Torrey Pines Natural Reserve while enjoying a beautiful sunset, taking a day trip to the Hotel Del Coronado, or shopping the beautiful village boutiques of La Jolla-all while losing weight and learning life-changing skills.
You'll also enjoy personal activities outside of camp such as visiting the J. Paul Getty Museum, Balboa Park, The Comedy Store, Harbor Cruises, La Jolla Playhouse & other great San Diego theaters. Ladies have also enjoyed field trips to such places as Sea World, The San Diego Zoo, Knotts Berry Farm, Laguna Beach's Pageant of the Masters, and shopping, shopping and more shopping!
